Oracle 11g Step by Step Installation

If you are installing on Non-Network Computer than it is recommended to disable your wireless connectionInstall Loop back adapter using the following steps.

  • Initiate the run window by pressing the Windows + R button. The following screen will appear.
  • Type the following command on this window and press enter
  • The following window will appear, asking to add the new hardware
  • Click the Next button and select the option as mentioned in the following diagram
  • Click the Next button and select the Network Adapters from the list as mentioned in the following picture and click next
  • Click the Next button and select the Network Adapters from the list as mentioned in the following picture and click next
  • In the next window select Microsoft from the Manufacturer List on the left and select Microsoft KM-TEST Loopback Adapter from the Network Adapter List on the right and press Next
  • Click next to start installation and click the finish to complete it.
  • Now open networking and sharing center and assign the IP to the newly installed network adapter
  • Right Click on this adapter and select the properties, the following window will appear
  • Uncheck IPv6 then select IPV4 and click the properties button and select Use the following IP address and assign the IP address as shown
  • Press the Ok button and then press the close button
  • Now unzip the oracle database 11g 64 bit setup files. Unzip the files in the same folder.
  • Run the setup.exe file as administrator, select yes if it display following warning.
  • Uncheck the “I wish to receive security updates via My Oracle Support” and click Next as shown below
  • The following warning will appear, click yes and continue
  • Select “Create and Configure a Database” and click Next
  • Select Desktop class and click Next
  • Set the password on the next screen and click Next
  • Click the finish button on the following screen
  • The setup will start as shown in the following diagram
  • Check both public and private networks and click the Allow access button
  • The Database Configuration Assistant will start automatically as shown
  • The following window will appear, click the Password Management button as shown
  • Uncheck the scott account and set the New and Confirm password
  • The installation is successfully completed:) Click the Close button.

  1. There are some interesting points in time in this article however I don’t know if I see all of them middle to heart. There may be some validity however I’ll take maintain opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we wish more! Added to FeedBurner as nicely
